Late Edwardian to middle 1910s "waist" or blouse of finest cotton with lace trim, pintucks, faggoting, French seams, and other details typical of the era. Large collar with pintucks and dotted swiss texture. Three-button turn-back cuffs. Twill tape attached at back ties in front, cinching the blouse to fit and helping secure it in your waistband. Completely wearable today -- it would certainly elevate a pair of jeans!  -- and perfect for that Downton Abbey costume. From the marvelous Jamieson estate, spanning two centuries in style.

Labels: Blue Bird Hand Made Blouse

Fiber/Care: no tags, finest cotton batiste (so yummy), gently washable

Condition: very good, with only very minor glitches here and there (e.g. lace at one collar point isn't absolutely perfect, and there are two light spots at the left cuff which may lift as we didn't use stain remover). we replaced four missing buttons with antiques from our stash (the three on the cuffs are near-perfect matches but the one at bodice bottom isn't but will be hidden by the tie and tucked in).

*This Edwardian waist is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
