70s White Eyelet Shirtwaist Dress

Sorry, this item has sold.

White cotton eyelet shirtwaist dress has full placket of 10 rounded pearl buttons. Picot crochet trims the pointed collar and two-button cuffs. Thread loops with matching belt. Fully lined everywhere but the long sleeves. Triple tier of scalloped eyelet at hem. From the 1970s and the Kathryn G. estate.

I wore a very similar white eyelet dress (with pale-blue tights and black patent-leather Mary Janes), to a family event on May 28, 1977:

Labels: Herman Marcus

Fiber/Care: unmarked, cotton, washable

Condition: we patched over one stubborn spot on the back near the shoulder seam, and one tiny spot remains just below the collar (see photo). there is some diffuse discoloration that we were unable to capture in photos and is only visible under our bright photography lights. all four cuff buttons are modern replacements. we will include two original buttons as spares. all 10 placket buttons are original. the belt has stains which may lift completely with bleach or rust remover, but we'd suggest substituting a contrasting belt for a bright pop of modern color. price reflects these minor glitches.

*This dress is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
