From the late 1940s or early 1950s, a New Look style party dress with velvet bodice and silk taffeta full skirt trimmed with tiny, undulating ruffles. Wear it with or without a crinoline, not included. Functional rhinestone buttons at front placket. Metal side zipper. Fully lined. Dress is jet black. Some photos are lightened to show details.
Labels: none except on the second set of shoulder pads
Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like rayon velvet and silk taffeta, skirt lining
Condition: Looks great and is strong and wearable, but there are scattered, teensy tiny holes, The very worst of it is in the bodice lining (does not show at all), but even those in the exterior don't show, as the lining provides full camouflage. The only visible flaws, beyond some missing rhinestones on the buttons, are three very small tears on the skirt, as shown. It had a belt at one point, long gone. If you prefer your dresses belted, you might add a slim patent leather one, or a wide satin ribbon, not included. Priced accordingly.
*This dress is clean and ready to wear.*
