70s One-Shoulder Disco Dress

From the 1970s, a black jersey knit disco dress with built-in bra and boldly colored, strappy, one-shoulder styling. Yellow, red, and peach straps sweep diagonally across the bodice, front and back, are stitched in place to avoid shifting or twisting, and tie at the left shoulder. Deep bust darts, elasticized waist, thread loops and removable self-fabric belt. Self-lined at bodice. Nicely made. Swishy, A-line skirt. Easy care.

This label offered up-to-the-minute fashions for the stylish younger set, many (including this one) featuring the convenience of a built-in bra. The designs were not inexpensive, and the dresses remain very wearable and quite collectible. 

Fiber/Care: polyester jersey knit, washable (label says hand wash, but a net bag will protect it in your machine. drip dry)

- please ignore the vintage size 5/6 label and go by the following. meant for younger customers, this dress has junior sizing, although the torso is not particularly short -
 bust: about a 32-34"/81.25-86.25cm plus the cup space (cup depth ~2"/5cm)
 bodice length): 15.5"
 waist: stretches from 22-29"/55.5-73.5cm 
 belt: 1.25" x 57.5" / 3cm x 145cm
 hips: max ~42"/106.5cm
 length (from black shoulder strap): 40.5"/102.5cm
 hem sweep: 76"/193cm

This dress fits Delphine nicely, but there's room to spare (she measures b: 32, w: 24, h: 35.25). Plus, there's stretch to the fabric. Soft, lightly lined cups will accommodate and support most average-size chests (A, B, C, D). If you're especially small or large busted, it might not work for you.
