10s Edwardian Silk Dress

Splendid 1910s dress in navy blue silk charmeuse with subtle embroidery and ecru lace at bodice and cuffs. From my personal collection. Purchased from another online seller of only highest-quality vintage and antique items. This dress is truly gorgeous.

As with all dresses of this era, it takes patience to put on. The closure is a wonderfully complex arrangement of hook&eyes and snaps at various layers of the front, finished by snapping the attached sash at front, side, and finally at back on several places under the fabulous decorative treatment. The result is that it's all ingeniously hidden.

Fiber/Care: silk, dry-clean

Condition: Nearly perfect with no flaws to speak of. The silk is strong and sturdy and the lace is intact. All hooks&eyes, snaps, and decorative buttons functional and present. Totally wearable, and feels absolutely heavenly.

Garment Measurements:
bust: 34"/85.25cm + a bit of fullness at bodice (no darts) to about 35"/89cm
 waist: 28"/71cm
 hips: 42"/106.5cm
 across armscye: <7"/17.5cm
 across shoulders (two seams): 11+13"/28+33cm

FYI, I measure 35.5" bust, 26.5" waist, 36.5" hip, and have full shoulders and upper arms. On me it's only tight at the upper bodice. If you're smaller up top, or all over, it should work for you. Dress is not meant to be fitted, so a bit big is fine. It just shouldn't be tight.

Our items are not newly manufactured "vintage style" pieces. They are true vintage, at least 20 years old. Please read condition report provided above.
