60s/70s Hotpants Outfit in Orange and White - sm

An authentic, early example of the hotpants craze of the 1970s. This set was purchased by the original owner at a fashion-forward boutique when she was living in Paris in 1969. 

• Fabric is a smooth, cool, slinky knit in bright, true orange with scattered white hearts. Very "Summer of Love" and "Almost Famous" hippie chic!
• Top (micro-minidress) has three-quarter sleeves, defined waist, offset button-and-loop closure with hidden snaps to prevent any peek-a-boo at the bust
• "Skirt" overlaps at the front
• Short shorts are simple pull-on style with elastic waist and tiny permanent cuffs

Labels: none remain, but definitely store-bought (the original owner tells us she removed all the labels from her high-end, trendy Parisian purchases to avoid the import fees at customs when she returned to NY in 1971. Naughty girl!)

Fiber/Care: no tags, but feels like nylon knit / washable (recommend drying flat)

Condition: only flaws are color shift in the expected areas (upper back, waist, etc., as shown -- underarms are fine), and evidence that some seams have been restitched over the years with various threads. no holes, stains, or missing closures. photos show all.
