Stretch lace dress in a peachy beige or taupe with figure-flattering details. Bodice features faux placket with faille-covered decorative buttons, bust darts, small shoulder pads, short kimono-cut sleeves with notched turned-back cuffs and thread loops. Shapely peaked waist over smooth hips and a full, swishy skirt. Lace has smooth backing. Skirt has wide netting at lower edge for body, plus additional inner lining. Dress is quite sheer and would work best over a full slip or other skin-tone foundation garments for modesty. Metal Conmatic zip in center back. From the 1940s and the Betty McC. estate.

Fiber/Care: unmarked, stretch nylon or blend, hand washable or dry-clean
Condition: perfectly lovely and wearable, but there are minor glitches to note. upper back and underarms show typical yellowing (most evident on the interior). inner lining has several small holes. exterior lace has a few small breaks, but you really can't see them. there is discoloration on the sides of the skirt, which gets lost in the folds (may lift with targeted treatment. we did not try). price adjusted to reflect imperfections.
