Highest quality heavyweight rayon in a rich, deep cranberry red. Ruffle detail stretches from jewel neck to hem. Elbow-length dolman sleeves with gathers front and back. Shoulder pads. Self-fabric ties at back of neck. Full skirt with on seam pockets. Wear it with or without a crinoline (ours is not included). Thread loops secure the matching belt. Metal back zip. A wearable piece of history from the 1940s and the Jamieson estate.
~ Color was difficult to capture and may appear different on your monitor. It is a true, deep red. Not at all orange. Close to cranberry. ~
Labels: none - appears to be skillfully home sewn or custom made
Fiber/Care: unmarked, rayon, dry-clean
Condition: overall in very good, wearable condition, with a few imperfections to note. there are some faint spots here and there (too indistinct to photograph), there are large underarm rings that appear to be the result of cleaning attempts (so large they don't really show, oddly enough -- see photos), the bodice was taken up and let back down (stitch holes are completely hidden by belt), the hem has been taken up 1.5". the matching belt is very small, so you might want to replace it with a coordinating belt of your own.
*This dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.*
