Sorry, this item has sold.

Great-looking authentic vintage one-piece swimsuit from the 1960s or very early 1970s. Navy blue with big white polka dots and side stripes. Stretchy and supportive, with integral bra band and shaped cups. Flattering overskirt in front. Panty (covering the lower body at the seat and in front) is separate at front part of suit, making it more comfortable (no pulling). Modest cut neckline and seat. Suitable for mastectomy. Union made in the U.S.A. From the Barbara W. estate.

Labels: no manufacturer's label, only 1963-'74 ILGWU label and fabric content tag remain

Fiber/Care: 100% nylon knit, washable

Condition: terrific, with no flaws to note and all its stretchiness intact. we're not sure what the snaps on the bra cups are for, but we suspect they could be used to hold padding or mastectomy breast forms in place. you cannot feel them while the suit is worn.

*This maillot bathing suit is freshly laundered and ready to wear. Undergarments are always worn when modeling intimate apparel.*

Garment Measurements:
- labeled a vintage size 15/16, but please go by the measurements below -

 bust: ~32-38"/81.25-96.5cm
 waist: 26-32"+/66-81.25+cm
 hips: 34-40+"/86.25-101.5+cm
 shoulder to crotch: 25"/63.5cm

For comparison, our model measures b: 36, w: 26, h: 36 (a modern size 2) and the suit fits her nicely. It is not clipped in the photos. Please note that this bathing suit is cut to fit an average-length torso, and is slightly too short for our very long-waisted model.
