Heavenly soft, whisper light vintage dress of silk chiffon in a green, purple and blue floral on creamy white. Olive-green, silk velvet ribbon straps and attached sash to tie in a bow at the nipped waist. Dress closes with a row of hooks&eyes down the center front of the shirred, V-neck bodice. Shallow V-neck at back. Double layer, swishy skirt has extremely deep hems. We show the dress with and without a medium-full crinoline, not included. Unlined.
In photos, this dress looks to be from the late 1950s or early 60s. But it doesn't feel like a Mad Men-era dress. Evidence suggests it may be quite a bit older, but we just don't know for sure. Another gorgeous piece from the Doris E. estate.

Condition: we replaced two missing hooks. to prevent further damage, we folded over and stitched down a small area of fraying at the right arm hole (see before and after photo). this dress survived normal (non-specialist) dry-cleaning without issue, but do be gentle with it, as the fabric is wonderfully delicate.
