This black petit point frame purse has its rich floral design in teeny tiny stitches on both sides as well as the entire gusset, which is piped in satin. The frame is inlaid at the top on both sides with mother of pearl. Black satin interior with a single slip pocket. Petit point and tapestry purses have been around since the Victorian era. This one is most likely from the mid 20th century and is of very nice quality. From the Gilmore estate.
