50s Adele Simpson Dress in Golden Taupe Satin
From the 1950s, a shimmering shirtwaist party dress.
- Superb quality, typical of Adele Simpson label
- Tone-on-tone botanical design in a golden taupe shade with subtle, sophisticated shimmer
- Fabric is a substantial satin brocade
- Princess seams and tucks at front, defined waist
- Seams at back upper bodice and coming to a center point over the hips create slimming, flattering fit
- Full front placket with covered buttons and bound button holes (yum!)
- short, cuffed sleeves with multiple darts, underarm gussets
- Full skirt (shown with and without a crinoline, not included)
- Unlined, with pinked seams and hem tape

Condition: a few spots here and there (see last photo for examples), which blend into the pattern and may lift with targeted treatment. presents as nearly perfect.
