Antique Victorian Blue Velvet Corset Front Bodice - xs, sm

From the bustle era of the 1870s and 1880s, a bodice in jewel-tone sapphire-blue velvet.

• Open, Mandarin-style collar
• Deep, square neckline with corset-style, lace-up front closure (ample modesty panel/stomacher allows for adjustability)
• Long, very fitted sleeves with multiple elbow darts for shaping, and concealed hook-and-eye cuff closure
• Extra-curvy silhouette with boning front and back
• Lined in plain and floral coordinating silk fabrics

Fiber/Care: no tags, silk velvet with silk lining / dry-clean 

Condition: Very good! We've cleaned and then patched by hand with silk crepe a worn area of the lining, to prevent deterioration (see interior photos). There are still some little holes in the lining at the stomacher, which shouldn't matter, and a very few worn spots in the exterior, as shown. Overall, the bodice is sound, clean, and wearable (with care). This came to us without lacing, and we've added some matching navy blue cord, which you can replace with any suitable cord or ribbon of your choosing, if desired.

Bodice measurements are adjustable via lacing, but you'll need slimmer arms than mine (quite plump) to wear it comfortably. Please review measurements carefully.
