Beautiful little black dress from the 1950s, with criss-crossing ruched chiffon bodice. Straight skirt with inverted back walking pleat has a subtle windowpane pattern. Color is jet black (photos may be lightened slightly to show detail). Bodice fully lined, skirt lined halfway, although you might want to wear a half slip.
Labels: only a cut tag remains, which we suspect was a 1955-'63 ILGWU label
Fiber/Care: no tags, ruched bodice fabric tests as silk but we think it may be a rayon blend, bodice lined with acetate, skirt fabric is a mysterious semi-sheer blend that may be acetate and cotton, skirt lining feels like rayon but again, it's a bit unusual so we can't be sure, dry-clean
Condition: no flaws to note
*This cocktail is clean and ready to wear.*
