40s/50s House Dress in Blue and Purple
Mid-century house frocks are highly collectible and becoming harder to find. This one, in a wearable size and great condition, features a cheerful blue, purple and white floral print with touches of green. Crisp, "80-square percale" cotton. Face-framing "closed lattice" collar (one of the manufacturer's signature details) criss-crosses at the neck and is held in place with a button tab. Shirtwaist styling with kimono-cut short sleeves, 10-button full placket, vertical bust darts, belt loops, single side seam pocket, and full skirt to wear with or without a crinoline (not included). From the late 1940s or early 1950s.
