We call this one the circus shirtwaist. Bold, festive stripes of red, white, black, yellow and green, strategically angled to flatter your figure. Kimono-cut short cap sleeves. Three large covered buttons at bodice and set-in waistband. Interior wrap styling with self ties. Flattering curved, slightly high neckline. Gently gathered skirt. From the 1950s and the Charlotte M. estate.
Labels: none (Charlotte's daughter tells us that her mother's wardrobe was entirely store-bought)
Fiber/Care: unknown, feels like a cotton/linen blend (lightweight and slightly textured), washable
Condition: small spots at lower bodice front and back (see photos) may lift with more aggressive treatment (we gave it only a gentle wash), covered buttons are coming "uncovered" (could be redone, if desired, using hidden fabric from interior wrap). There are no missing buttons (two uppermost buttonholes are decorative)
*This dress is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
