From the 1950s, a Lucite (hard plastic) box purse with goldtone frame. Top has an etched botanical motif and details at the edges. Latch at center front of lid closes securely with a satisfying snap.
Labels/Marks: none
Materials: Lucite and gold-tone metal
Condition: far from perfect, but strong and sturdy with plenty of use left in it. the flaws (see photos) are only obvious close up, and include a section of hazing (where the plastic has gone somewhat opaque) on top, scattered minor scratches and scrapes, age-related signs of wear to the metal finish, and a small (.75") crack at the lower left side near the frame. In perfect condition, these go for hundreds of dollars. This one, while not perfect, will perfectly complement your ensemble for a lot less money.
