Light and breezy sleeveless dress and cropped jacket set from the 1950s. The fabric is a true dotted swiss, with woven bits of white on dark coffee brown. Lined bodice has vertical darts, a ballet neckline, and 5 decorative rhinestone buttons to mimic classic shirtwaist style. There are thread loops at the nipped waist. The unlined skirt looks to be pleated, but those are actually tiny vertical tucks. Closes with a metal Conmar side zip and hook&eye. Unlined, cropped bolero jacket (more like a no-closure blouse, really) has short, kimono-cut sleeves and a rounded collar. Wear this set with or without a crinoline (not included), but you'll need a slip. Feels wonderful, as do all of Dorothy E.'s spectacular clothes.
Color is truest in the last photo (interior view).
