Charming orange-and-white gingham shirtwaist dress with full skirt, from the late 1950s or early 1960s.

  • Ruffles at Mandarin-style collar and down front
  • Shirtwaist styling with front button placket and hook&eye at waist
  • Vertical darts for shaping
  • Nipped waist with belt loops and matching belt
  • Moderately full skirt to wear with or without a crinoline (ours shown in some photos, not included)

Labels: none - probably home sewn

Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like cotton or a cotton-rich blend / washable

Condition: One diffuse spot lost in folds of skirt, two tiny darker dots at bottom and back of armhole, scattered spots on interior (only) of collar, some underarm discoloration (may lift with targeted treatment, we gave it only a gentle wash) - see photo collage.
