60S Green Chiffon Gown

Sorry, this item has sold.

From the 1960s, a chiffon maxi dress in a green so splendid, I truly regret that all four cameras we tried refused to capture its bold depth and brightness. Shirred V-neck bodice with slightly raised waist, pointed flutter sleeves, A-line skirt with panel drape at front. Closes at back with metal zipper. The whole dress flows as you move or with the slightest breeze. The photos do not do this dress justice. You'll look like a shimmering jewel. From the Church collection.

Labels: none remain

Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like silk georgette crepe but most likely rayon or a blend, over acetate lining, dry-clean

Condition: A few glitches to note including an inconspicuous repair at one edge of the V-neck, a couple spots lost in the gathers and folds, and a very small (~4cm) hole in the skirt at the back hip. There are a few pin holes in the lining, as well. We reattached a short length of tiny hem that may have been caught in a heel and torn away. The dress is uneven at the right side, so the lining shows. It's not terribly noticeable, but if you took the dress up a bit, that would be that. The low price reflects these imperfections in an otherwise dreamy dress.

*This evening dress has been dry-cleaned and is ready to wear.*
