60s Thai Silk Striped Shift

Incredibly well-made dress of pure Thai silk in a beautiful palette of greens, pinks, and blues. Simple, long-sleeved shift with bust darts, shoulder seams, and a roll collar extends to ties you can bow or knot as you please. Lined in silk. Snap bra stays. The dressmaker details are fabulous. Modified french cuffs have removable, covered-button cufflinks and hand-sewn, bound buttonholes, collar is attached by hand, interior is impeccably finished with french seams. Metal Venue back zip with top hook&eye. Could also be worn belted. Outstanding quality from the 1960s.

Fiber/Care: 100% silk (dress and lining)

Condition: there are three teeny spots on the lower front skirt, there are sections of the silk that appear lighter than others but this seems to be part of the silk rather than a flaw, there is a minor pull on the left sleeve near the cuff (see photo)
