50s/60s Extra Long Matte Black Opera Gloves - 7
From the late 1950s to mid-1960s, a pair of seriously long, jet-black opera gloves with 2-button wrist closure ("mousquetaire") and matte appearance. High-quality, full-arm length gloves for all your formal and costume events. Made in USA.
Labels: Van Raalte
(venerable American lingerie, hosiery, and glove maker, from ~1913)
Fiber/Care: rayon / hand wash
Condition: Only flaw I see is one tiny, nearly invisible repair next to a seam, as shown. Price adjusted accordingly.
Dimensions (with gloves lying flat):
middle finger length: 3"/7.5cm
across palm above thumb: 2.75"/7cm
circumference at edge/cuff: 10"/25.5cm (unstretched)
total length from tip of middle finger: 28.5"/72cm
These gloves are labeled a size 7, and are true to size. They have plenty of stretch, but are best for someone with slim or average upper arms (that's not me) if you're concerned about that "overly squeezed" look.
☞ Our items are not newly manufactured "vintage style" pieces. They are true vintage, at least 30 years old. Please read condition report provided above. ☜
