From the 1950s, a party dress in brilliant electric blue satin.
- Wide V-neck with cut-outs and bows at shoulders
- Criss-crossing at bust creates the look of a "shelf-bust" and leads into a cummerbund effect at the nipped waist
- Shallow V-back with large bow at back waist (can be removed if desired)
- Very full skirt opens from box pleats, edged with horsehair braid to maintain shape (Note: shown with a medium-sized crinoline, not included. Skirt will accommodate a larger petticoat)
- Lined at bodice; closes at back with metal MUREN zipper, top hook&eye, and snaps at the bow
Labels: only a size/style tag remain
Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like a substantial acetate blend satin with rayon lining (smooth, crisp, slightly thick, cool to the touch) / dry-clean
Condition: presents beautifully. close inspection reveals a small slit near the right armhole (now stitched to prevent further damage) and scattered stains/discolorations within the lower folds of the skirt
*We've had this dress professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.*
