50s/60s Toile Lightweight Jacket or Blouse - sm, med

SKU: 00567-003

Unstructured, short cotton jacket from the 1950s or 60s in a lovely blue and white toile print we'd call "stylized Jacobean." It features exotic birds and botanicals. Jacket is light enough to wear as a blouse. Three-quarter sleeves with French-style two-button cuffs, and a slim, elongated collar. Unlined. Easy care.

Labels: Tailored by Jerry Mann of California
We found ads for this label from 1946 through 1969. The earliest were for women's matched "walking suits." Most from the 50s were for skirts and one-size-fits-all swing coats and jackets. The 60s saw matching pant sets and mod dresses.

Fiber/Care: no tags, cotton, washable (best to line or flat dry)

Condition: no flaws to note

*This cropped shirt-jacket is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*

Garment Measurements:
- width where cuff meets the three-quarter sleeve is 4.25"/11cm, which may be snug on some arms. You can move the buttons for another .5"/1.25cm of wiggle room, or leave it unbuttoned, but there's not much give where cuff meets sleeve -

 shoulders: 16"/40.5cm
 sleeves: 20"/50.75cm
 bust: 38"/96.5cm
 length: 20.5"/52cm
