It's hard to believe this gorgeous silk chemise dress is nearly 90 years old! Deep, rich peachy salmon silk with vertical pleating on the identical front and back (wear it either way round). Tiniest cap sleeves, straight silhouette. Hand-made ecru lace trims the neckline and hand-crocheted medallions trim the dropped waist front and back. Extensive hand sewing. Darts front and back at bust line. Cotton tape finishes drop-waist interior seam. Completely wearable.
Dress is a shimmery, deep salmon-peach tone, not orange.
From the Dunbar estate.
