Ethnic blouse from the 1930s or 40s, entirely hand made. Not only the cross-stitch embroidery and smocking, but every stitch in this boho-style peasant top is hand sewn. Drawstring at interior neck. Long sleeves with underarm gussets and three snaps at each cuff. Unlined. From the Meg S. estate, and likely from Hungary or Eastern Europe.

Condition: spot at neck and inside cuff, pinhole at chest. slight color bleed from our gentle hand wash should lift in next wash, after which we recommend a vinegar soak to set the dye. we gave it only a gentle wash. Price reflects the minor imperfections.
