Labels: Sakowitz
Brothers Simon and Tobias Sakowitz, Ukrainian immigrants to the U.S., took orders and delivered their clothing via bicycle to merchant seamen in Galveston, Texas. By 1902, they'd founded a department store, which eventually expanded to 13 locations. In 1988 Australian developer L.J. Hooker bought the chain. It closed in 1990. The family name continues today with Houston's Sakowitz Furs.
Fiber/Care: 100% "Qiana" Nylon knit, washable
