A lovely summer dress from the 1940s, in large-scale, red-and-white gingham checks.
- Sleeveless bodice with tie neck (adjustable), semi-sheer organdy-and-floral yoke, bust and vertical darts for shaping
- Somewhat full skirt with organdy-and-floral inset
- Side snap closure, hooks&eyes at back of neck and upper back
- Unlined, easy care
- Shown over crinoline, not included (organdy sections are sheer and you'll probably want to wear a slip or crinoline beneath, for modesty)
Labels: none - probably home sewn
Fiber/Care: cotton / washable (hang or flat dry)
Condition: A few spots and inconspicuous evidence of age/wear (see photos), but overall vibrant and fresh. We've replaced missing snaps/poppers at the side closure and restitched the fallen hem.
*This 1940s summer dress is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
