40s/50s Little Black Dress With Fabric Roses

From the late 1940s or very early 50s, a little black dress in jet black rayon crepe. Strategically angled, slimming vertical tucks on front and kimono-cut short sleeves with turn-back, notched cuffs. Sweetheart neckline. Self-fabric roses enhance the left shoulder. Slim skirt with semi-circular pockets. Unlined (you may want to wear a slip for modesty). Closes at the side with a metal zipper. A sleek, versatile dress from the Susan K. Collection.

Labels: only a few threads remain

Fiber/Care: no tags, rayon crepe, dry-clean only

Condition: original belt is missing (ours, which is much too big, is not included). shoulder pads are missing but the snaps that held them in place remain (we'll let you decide whether to add in replacements for an authentic 40s look or remove the snaps). we've restitched a few open seams here and there.
