Hooded opera jacket from the 1940s in jet-black silk velvet. Single covered-button and loop closure at neck. Gathers at the slightly puffed sleeveheads provide the strong-shouldered silhouette so popular at the time. Fully lined in creamy white taffeta. Would look as good with your jeans as with a formal gown. Shorter length makes it versatile. Union made in the U.S.A. From the Hibbard estate.
