Beautiful pale straw veil hat from the 1950s or early 60s. Mushroom (or perhaps more of a peach basket) shape with stand-up shimmery beige fabric around crown, forming jaunty bow at front. Matching net veiling. Grosgrain interior band and French net lining. Coordinating hat pin hidden behind bow. From the Wilma C. estate.

we found ads for this label from as far back as the early 1940s. the image attached was a favorite, from 1948. in today's money, a Bernays hat would set you back $109. not an inexpensive brand.
