Jet black velvet skirt suit from the 1950s. Loose-cut, swing style jacket has kimono-cut over-elbow sleeves, large Peter Pan style collar, five ornate silver-tone buttons, bust darts, and banded hem. Straight skirt has back vent and closes at the side with a metal Talon zipper and button at the set-on waistband. Suit is unlined, with pinked seams and hem tape.

Condition: no flaws to note. three of the jacket's covered buttons were missing, so we replaced all five with ornate vintage buttons of the same size and shape (we'll include the two we removed)
