Mid-century perfection. Vintage 1950s slim sheath dress in a glossy, crisp fabric of tiniest brown and black stripes, expertly seamed to flatter your figure. Kimono cut short sleeves, criss-cross detailing, center skirt seam, inverted kick pleat. Closes at back with metal Mark zipper and top hook&eye. Partially lined, with a hem allowance the likes of which you won't find on any modern dress. Just dreamy. From the Tawni W. collection.
This is a true "wiggle" dress in that the hem width is slightly narrower than the hips.
Labels: none - likely home sewn
Fiber/Care: unmarked, probably silk or a silk/rayon blend, dry-clean
Condition: one area of roughed-up fabric at the left waist, as shown (snip the offending threads, cover with a decorative brooch, or just ignore -- it's inconspicuous)
*We've had this cocktail dress professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.*
