From the early 1950s, a silk party dress in two shades of pink.

  • Full skirt opens from knife pleats below waist seam.
  • Full lining.
  • The deeper color is a slightly mauve pink.
  • Back metal zipper, plus hooks and eyes at upper back and collar.
  • Shown over a small crinoline, not included.

Labels: Natlynn
The label was a division of Gaynor Junior Dresses of New York. Research shows it was used between 1951 and the late 1950s. The brand specialized in high-end reproductions of on-screen dresses worn by popular movie stars.

Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like silk organza over acetate / dry-clean

Condition: There's a scattering of small stains at the center back of the skirt. Fortunately, it's mainly on the darker pink and blends in. There is one smaller-than-a-pencil-eraser hole caused by the stains, as well one pin-point size hole elsewhere in the folds of the skirt. See photos. There is evidence of thread belt loops, suggesting there was once a matching belt.
