Brown, orange, greenish gray and black plaid wiggle sheath dress from the 1950s. Shallow V-neck extends diagonally with three decorative buttons covering snap closure. Over-elbow sleeves. Beautifully tailored with bust and vertical darts, back princess seams, nipped waist, and double hip darts front and back. Left hip pocket. Fully lined in red and nicely finished with hand overcast and taped seams. Metal YKK back zipper is set into center seam (does not reach the top of the neck). Although slim and body-conscious, this dress is suitable for those who dress modestly. From the Mullins collection.

Fiber/Care: unmarked, feels like wool (or a blend) with acetate lining, dry-clean
Condition: the thread used to attach the snaps was visible along the diagonal front bodice, so we took the liberty of adding decorative vintage buttons as camouflage (and it looks great!), we had to retack the entire hem which had fallen, and stitch the pocket closed where its thread had given out. there's some wear and tear to the lining at a small section of the underarm. doesn't show, even inside out.
