True vintage 1960s shift dress in richly textured pink cotton. Cut for the tween or petite, the sleeveless, jewel-neck dress features shallow bust darts, princess seaming front and back, and lovely grosgrain-ribbon and satin rose detail at the front waist. The honeycomb-textured fabric is unlined. Pinked seams. Metal Trend brand back zipper with hook&eye at top (works fine, but dress is too small for Cecelia). From the Merritt(2) estate.
Labels: Judy Bee Inc.
We've found advertisements for Judy Bee's line of "Young Teen" clothing in U.S. .newspapers from 1964 (see photo) through 1970, but we can't say if this was the extent of the company's existence.
Fiber/Care: unmarked, cotton, washable (remove satin rose)
Condition: there's the tiniest spot one tail of the ribbon (it's so faint, we had to circle it in the photo)
*This shift dress is freshly laundered and ready to wear.*
