This beautifully made coat is both luxurious and practical. The deep-black cotton velvet is treated to be water repellent and stain- and crease-resistant, so wear it without worry. Tailored with strong shoulders, vertical bust darts, front hip pleats and strategic seaming at bust, waist, and skirt to define and flatter your figure. Princess silhouette looks like, and could certainly be worn as, a dress. Dramatic top-stitched collar, turned-back faux French cuffs, and removable self-fabric belt that fits through two loops. Angled besom pockets on the slightly full skirt. No closure. Can be worn crossed and cinched or loose and open. Fully lined in black satin. Absolutely gorgeous. Made in the USA in the 1970s. From the Hull estate.
