This 1960s or early '70s maxi dress stands out from the crowd with hollywood starlet tulip sleeves, ruched empire bodice, and a bold, flower-power floral in gold, brown, cream, and black on yellow crepe.
Attached ties under bust. Full, stretchy lining, with sleeves lined in buckram to keep their fabulous shape.
Quality dress with hand finishing and attention to detail. Closes at back with long nylon zipper and top hook&eye.
Labels: Alta Moda (which means "high style" in Italian)
Fiber/Care: no tags, feels like a rayon or possibly a synthetic-blend crepe with polyester knit lining (except at buckram-lined sleeves), dry-clean
Condition: no flaws to note
*We've had this maxi dress professionally dry-cleaned and it's ready to wear.*
Garment Measurements:
- the dress has a bit of stretch -
bust: 33"/84cm"
bodice to empire seam: 10.5"/26.5cm
at empire seam, under bust: 31"/78.5cm
natural waist: 28"/71cm
hips: 39"/99cm
length: 49"/124.5cm
sweep: 86"/218.5cm
This dress is cut for a "juniors" figure in that the length from shoulder to empire seam is short. The seam just clears Delphine's bust to reach her ribs. If you have a long waist or a low bust, this dress might not work for you. For reference, she measures: bust 32", rib 27", waist: 24", hips: 35.25", and the dress is not clipped to fit her.
