A red cotton shirtwaist dress from the mid-1960s, by the innovator of preppy style, John Meyer of Norwich. Peter Pan collar, short sleeves, pin-tucked bodice, self-fabric belt, and slight A-line skirt. The front placket is faux, but the buttons slip into real buttonholes. Yellow threads create a slightly orangey shade of red. Unlined dress zips up the back, with a hook&eye at the top. Made in Norwich, Connecticut, U.S.A.
